Jason R. McLean is an associate in the firm's Pittsburgh office.  He concentrates his practice in cybersecurity and data protection, commercial litigation, and medical malpractice defense matters.

As a member of the firm's Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection Team, Mr. McLean works with clients in a variety of industries to develop data protection plans, conduct risk assessments, ensure regulatory compliance and develop data breach risk mitigation strategies.  He also has extensive experience counseling businesses during their response to a data breach.

Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner in 2016, Mr. McLean was an attorney with Grogan Graffam, P.C. where he gained considerable experience representing various corporate entities both large and small, public and private.  He also gained significant experience in defending physicians, practice groups and hospitals in medical malpractice claims.

Mr. McLean was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2016, 2017 and 2018 for Business Litigation.  Rising Stars represent the top 2.5% of the practicing attorneys in Pennsylvania, age 40 or younger or in practice for ten years or less.

Mr. McLean is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.

Mr. McLean received his B.A. from Syracuse University in 2006 and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2009.  He began his practice by serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice Debra Todd of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
